Head Mom

Jemi Smith is the creative and manager of Today’s Mom Collective. As a mother herself, she understands the wants, aspirations, and motivations of Today’s Mom. 5 years ago she started Moms of Durham, a local mom community within Durham Region, ON.

 

During her work she was awarded the Mompreneur Award in 2017 within her first year of business. Since then she has hosted Mom Talk with Jemi in 2019 which aired on Filipino TV. Upon creating Moms of Durham, she noticed that businesses were having a hard time creating the right content on social media and struggled to properly inspire action from this demographic. This is where Today’s Mom Collective was born. Jemi is a digital marketer that specializes in the Mom Market. 

Her skills include, but not limited to:

  • Facebook Ads (creation, copywriting, graphic design)
  • Digital Product Creation (ebooks, printables, journals)
  • Community Management (highly engaged facebook community)
  • Social Media Management (strategy, implementation, content creation)

  • Video Editing (experience with Facebook stories, Instagram Reels, Lives, Youtube, TikTok)
  • Content Creation (copywriting, blog writing, email marketing, graphic design)
  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Sales and Customer Service experience (over 15 years)

Her passions and motivations in life are driven by her children.


She is currently fundraising for families below the poverty line in Durham Region and helping organizations like Rose of Durham and Victims of Durham. She is also co-secretary of her children’s Parent Teacher Council, and child and family representative on the Durham Black Network. You’ll find her many videos on practical mom advice and her digital marketing advice all over social media.
